Recently, Elementis embarked on a transformative journey towards implementing a Product Information Management (PIM) system, a decision that would significantly impact their business processes and digital presence.

In our recent event, Jens Mueller, Global Marketing Director and Tiffany Schöndube, Regional Marketing & Communications Manager and PIM Owner from Elementis - Personal Care division, shared their experiences and insights on this journey, shedding light on the challenges they faced and how to anticipate them.

Elementis, a renowned global specialty chemical company operating across multiple continents, recognized the need for a PIM system as they delved into a website redesign project as part of their digital transformation efforts. Initially focused on revamping their online catalog.

As Jens Mueller, Global Marketing Director for Elementis' personal care business, highlighted, implementing a PIM system quickly became more than just upgrading their website.

Elementis realized the need to create a single source of truth for their product data aimed at establishing a robust foundation that would not only help improve internal processes, but also enable effective collaboration across business units and ease any future developments. This realization marked the beginning of a comprehensive evaluation of their data management processes and the identification of key pain points that needed addressing.

Tiffany Schöndube, the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager for Personal Care at Elementis, played a pivotal role as the PIM owner, leading the project with a focus on aligning the needs of all involved departments and business units.

ionicPIM not only addressed Elementis' immediate needs for a centralized product information solution but also opened doors to new possibilities in digital transformation. By leveraging the preconfigured features and chemical-specific built of the system and the expert guidance provided by Agilis and SpecialChem, Elementis successfully navigated the complexities of structuring Product Master Data and integrating the PIM system into their existing infrastructure.

Listen to what they have to say about their ionicPIM implementation journey.
